Hey Y'all,
I am running out of pre-written blog posts and am now brainstorming ideas for future content. One idea I am contemplating is starting a blog series about the origins of old hymns of the faith. I love the rich lyrics and simple melodies of these overlooked antique gems, and upon research have discovered that many have intriguing backgrounds. Is this series something that would interest you, my dear readers? To gauge interest, I've put together a simple two-question survey below.
Should I begin a blog series on stories behind old hymns of the faith?
Yes
No
Don't care
If so, how often?
Once a month
Twice a Month
Once a week for a month
Whenever
Aside from the hymn series, I am considering various topics to blog about and would appreciate your input. Below is a poll with ideas I have brainstormed for potential blog posts. I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to choose any topics that catch your interest. Your feedback will assist me in focusing on content that resonates with my readers.

I appreciate your time in assisting me as I contemplate the future direction of this blog. It is a privilege to be able to write on this platform and I would welcome any/all feedback or suggestions you may have. Transitioning to Writer4Jesus has been interesting, as I am no longer singularly focused on blogging only about D-Team travels as with my previous blog that many of you followed. Topics were easy then...D-Team goes to Yellowstone - post about Yellowstone, we go whitewater rafting - post about whitewater rafting, RV breaks down - post about RV breaking down. The only overwhelming part was keeping up. Now, there's a whole spectrum of things I could write about and it's overwhelming just deciding what to write about. I've decided to start a list of potential ideas for individual blog posts, as well as series. I would love to hear any and all ideas you may have as well - who knows, maybe your suggestion just might make it into a post:)
Until next time, God bless you and your loved ones!
Hymns are deep hearted experiences for most writers. They can be connected to scripture , heart overflowing with joy, need or desperation When I read missionary stories it is often mentioned what hymns helped them thru life. I guess that would also hold true to modern day saints that cling to God in all sorts of circumstances. Have fun with whatever your heart calls you to do !
As a worship leader, I shared some information about hymns we were singing once in a while. I thought it was fascinating to find out some old stories and would enjoy reading about some of those. I answered once a month but occasionally is the best way to say it. So if you write a few they are in your bank.

Hymns would be a great idea Jaela!
How about Issac Watts, the father of English hymnody, and some of his many poems set to music?
Write about hymns, songs, scriptures, poems, books, ect. that have a particular place in your own story
Also succinct biographies of heros of faith (especially those with little written of their stories)
The stories of hymns are really good. I put the stories in with all the shirts I sell. Some stories are well known but many aren't. You and your readers will benefit from them. There is great theology in those old hymns.
