Blackville, South Carolina is home to a natural spring, deeded to God by its previous owner, and rumored to have healing powers. Since it wasn't far out of our way, we figured we'd make a stop and check out the delicious water people rave about online. Apparently, folks will drive hours to refill their jugs with this water, and stories of miraculous healing abound. While we are skeptical about the water being 'miracle water,' it is a fact that the water is full of natural minerals that are incredibly beneficial to our bodies.
It was nice to refill our gallon water jugs for free though, instead of paying for it at Walmart :)
Just across the stream is a cross with a wreath and plaque containing Revelation 3:20 on it. Across the crossbeam are prayer pebbles placed there by visitors to the spring.
It was certainly bizarre to see people drive up with five-gallon water jugs, milk/cider jugs, and any other random container that could hold liquid.
People come and go throughout the day, many of whom are regulars who live nearby and use this water for all purposes (cooking, cleaning, drinking, bathing, etc...)
Because it was nice and quiet at the spring, we decided to just spend the night there. It was lovely to have an evening without Walmart lights and noises...Instead, we got to listen to loud, weird animal noises we've never heard before, in the nearly pitch dark. LOL :)
Until next time, God bless
That's awesome!
I know someone who left a spring like that and it was a beautiful gift to the people who lived nearby. What a better way to show love for people than to provide clean and free water?
