Well, day two has been labeled delay day and poor ol' Kram-A-Lot Inn has once again made it no further than the A1 RV shop, less than 30 minutes from our house. The smaller issues have been resolved, but the AC problem is still underway. Another part had to be ordered and should arrive tomorrow. Hopefully, we'll be able to finally make it out of Iowa tomorrow afternoon.
Despite the disappointments, the parental units are holding up (Mom might have cried once) and the young people of the family actually enjoyed having a day to explore our new community and all the cute little shops along the town's main thoroughfare...something we've been wanting to do since we purchased property here. There were some unique stores with cool and unusual items...such as freeze-dried Skittles. Fascinated by the idea of freeze-dried candy, I purchased a bag for us to taste-test. They actually weren't too bad, and now I'm wishing I bought the larger bag as certain siblings keep helping themselves to mine!
All in all, the D-Team is being provided with an opportunity to cultivate patience in the midst of delay (Galatians 5:22) and flexibility in our planning, knowing that there is a reason this is happening, even though we may not understand it.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
Until next time, God bless!
Freeze dried skittles are the best! We have a freeze drier and make them at home. Your welcome to raid our stash when you pass through MN.
