After leaving Eureka Springs, we hightailed it for the outskirts of a tiny town in the middle-of-nowhere Missouri where some very special people live. We were super excited to spend time with these long-time family friends on their lovely property and help with some outdoor projects.
With lots of laughter, sun, dirt, story-telling, weeds, good food, and, of course...rocks (we've learned that Arkansas and Missouri are practically built on rocks, LOL) time passed quickly. The Knuths also took us to their local state park where we got our climbing fix on the giant 'elephant' rocks and enjoyed the forested scenery.
But, of course, all good times must come to an end. After a restful and yet productive six days, it was time to bid these dear friends adieu and head for Gateway National Park, which would prove to be our gateway home.
Until next time, God bless!
